Scholars Restaurant is the place where our next generation chefs, waitresses and hospitality staff learn the basics and get to try it out on diners in the know that EIT runs a restaurant on site. Today’s lunch is full, it’s Christmas Bistro lunch.
- Seeing the proud faces of students serving up lunch gave me warm fuzzies. First up, was the classic Italian Minestrone Soup. Fresh chunky cut veges, cooked and temperature perfect.
- Fish cakes are popular with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Weird combo with the egg and hollandaise but I’m told every dish contributes a baseline of learning skills. The fish cakes crumb and filling hit the spot.
Room for Improvement
- Scholars Restaurant is all about continual improvement. Go and visit for yourself and try firsthand what students are getting on the plate. Make sure you try the Meringue Roulade. Star of the day.
