2. Shop from the Tangaroa Ahuriri Retail Store where fish is cut continuously as demand requires. If you come in at 10am, the fish will have been cut within hours. You can bring a chilli bin to preserve the freshness or buy it on your way home from work.
3. Fish is caught for the local market meaning our best fish remains in New Zealand for purchase at our Tangaroa Ahuriri Retail Store instead of being exported.
4. Long-lined fish results in a better quality fish because it’s not damaged by squashing in the trawl and the fish is not physically stressed when caught. Tangaroa runs five boats from Hawke’s Bay, three of these are long-liners.
